Why Work for Range?
Midcontinent Division
Range focuses on exploring and developing stacked pay opportunities in Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle.
Although no major acquisitions have been made in this region over the past 18 years, the team continues to drive production to record levels with growth through the drill bit. Most recently, the division announced the industry’s first successful horizontal St. Louis Lime completion in the Texas Panhandle, adjacent to areas already being exploited for Granite Wash. In addition, the division is active in the Mississippi Lime play of northern Oklahoma, where horizontal drilling technology has unlocked significant oil potential. Another focus area lies in the Ardmore Basin of southern Oklahoma where we have been drilling horizontal Woodford Shale wells with excellent results. Woodford Shale is also a target for the “Cana” play in the Anadarko Basin where Range has over 40,000 net acres all held by production. All of these drilling opportunities contain oil components which greatly add to already strong economics.
