Why Work for Range?

We understand that attracting good people and keeping them is essential to our success as a Company.

Our vitality depends on the quality of our staff. Our goal is to attract talented, qualified professionals and to keep them by providing ample opportunities for learning and career growth.

Award-Winning Culture

Range has received many accolades including being named Best Place to Work by the Washington County Chamber of Commerce in consecutive years. In 2017, Range was voted the "Best Place To Work In Washington County" during the Observer-Reporter Newspaper's Best of the Best contest. This is a testament to the company's commitment to employees and the culture at Range Resources.

Individually, employees are given the opportunity to make a difference. Collectively, our employees all work together to make a difference on an organizational level.

Professional Growth and Development

We support our employees’ professional development through comprehensive training programs.  We have a rotation program in place for new graduates, extensive online training for all employees and year-round training which includes Harassment, Ethics, Behavioral Interviewing, Generational Differences, Leadership Development, Social Styles and many others.  We encourage memberships in job-related professional organizations by paying annual fees and allowing time away from work to attend meetings.  We maintain a tuition reimbursement program to encourage continuing education.  Professional certifications are important and indicate an employee’s desire to stay on top of new advancements and technologies in their field.

  • “Open Door” culture where employees have the opportunity for regular check-ins with their supervisor regarding career path and development opportunities. Employees have clearly defined career path options that include both technical and leadership tracks – both of which are valued by Range and supported with developmental opportunities.
  • Annual Performance reviews where employees and supervisors are encouraged to have a two-way dialogue regarding growth and development for the employee that aligns with Company goals and values.
  • Employees are granted volunteer hours and are encouraged to get involved to help our communities grow and prosper.

Community Involvement

Range takes our corporate and social responsibilities seriously and helps to promote a thriving local community. We encourage employees to volunteer their time and resources to help the community grow and prosper. The Company and its employees participate in charitable fund raising programs such as Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, Multiple Sclerosis Society, United Way, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Marines Toys for Tots, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Junior Achievement, as well as local fire departments, scouts, chambers of commerce, festivals, museums and animal shelters. We live and work in the communities where we operate and share common goals with all citizens for quality schools and a healthy environment.

Diversity and Inclusion

Range realizes that we may have many things in common with our co-workers, or we may have very few things in common, either way, Range is better for both the similarities and the differences among us.  Range believes that everyone is their own person and brings different talents and experiences to the table, not only inclusive of culture, nationality and heritage, but also diversity of thoughts, ideas and viewpoints.  Range supports the cultivation of a diverse workforce by:

  • Offering both instructor-led and online training opportunities to establish awareness, encourage discussion and cultivate understanding and acceptance
  • Range’s recruiting function has established a broad recruiting outreach program in order to increase the pool of qualified candidates from diverse backgrounds
  • We give all industry backgrounds and talents the opportunity to join our team. We make hiring, training, retention and development decisions based on merit, qualifications and abilities.
