Since 2022, Range has been listed among America’s top companies displaying efforts to act responsibly in the categories relating to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) in Newsweek’s list of 2025 Most Responsible Companies.
This year, Range improved its rankings across the board, while remaining the only Appalachian producer to make it on the list. In the latest publication, Range increased in the following categories:
- 73.69 overall, up from 70.37 last year
- 64.37 Social Concerns score, up from 60.24 last year
- 82.06 Corporate Governance score, up from 79.26 last year
With an advancement in almost all categories, Range jumped 57 spots in 2025 to land at 402 out of 600 qualifying companies nationwide.
The selection methodology is derived from each company’s efforts on ESG and key performance indicators from their corporate sustainability reports (CSR). After evaluating the data, Newsweek posted the list containing the top 600 companies in the US who are considered most responsible.
Much of the data evaluated by Newsweek comes from Range’s annual Corporate Sustainability Report (CSR). This report provides insight into Range’s approach, achievements, and goals on environmental, social, and governance topics.
“Range’s efforts across all departments are the reason we are able to achieve these types of milestones and recognition,” said Dennis Degner, President & CEO. “Thank you to all of our employees, you drive our advancements and are the reason Range continues to be an industry leader.”
