$75,000 Fund Will Support Pennsylvania First Responders and emergency management services

Range Resources and the Washington County Community Foundation announced the creation of the Range Resources Good Neighbors Fund with a $75,000 gift. The fund is established to support fire departments and emergency management services organizations in Range’s core operating area.

“Range is committed to supporting causes and organizations that are important to our community. We are excited to announce the Range Resources Good Neighbors Fund in partnership with the Washington County Community Foundation. This fund will assist local fire departments and emergency management services organizations in our core operating area,” remarked Dennis Degner, Range Resources Sr. Vice President. “First responders provide critical services to the communities they serve, and we want to support their continued success.”

Health and safety – for our employees, contractors and the communities where we work – is of primary importance at Range; it is woven into our business. Fostering and enhancing the safety culture is critical to Range’s success, which is why we are committed to supporting local first responders. This partnership includes regular training, communication and now the Good Neighbors fund.

On February 1, organizations interested in applying to the Range Resources Good Neighbors Fund will be able to submit their requests electronically using the Foundation’s online grant application form available on www.wccf.net. Requests should be limited to $10,000. Grants will be announced in the second quarter.

“We applaud Range Resources for their generosity in establishing this fund, and look forward to working with its management team to issue grants that will have the greatest impact in our community,” said Betsie Trew, President & CEO of the Washington County Community Foundation.

“Charitable groups often struggle to secure the necessary revenue to provide their services. As a good neighbor, Range Resources has been helping numerous charitable groups since it began operations in Washington County in 2004. The creation of the Range Resources Good Neighbors Fund will enable the company to be more strategic in its support of the community.”
